In the corner of the schoolyard
Past the slides and basketball court,
A little garden wakes each spring
Without a single loud report.

Tiny shoots push through the soil,
Green and bright beneath the sun,
While robins hop along the fence
As if the season’s just begun.

The students plant tomatoes, peas,
And marigolds in tidy rows,
With muddy hands and laughing smiles
They watch each new seed slowly grow.

Bees hum softly through the air,
Butterflies drift by at noon,
And every flower seems to dance
To nature’s cheerful springtime tune.

The garden teaches more than books—
How patience, care, and kindness bloom.
It turns a patch of ordinary earth
Into a place with living room.

And when the final bell rings out,
The garden still hums quietly,
Holding sunlight, rain, and wonder
For every child to see.
