🦫 Chapel Time with Chewy! 🛠️🏠

This week, Chewy is helping our children learn what it means to build their lives on the solid foundation of God’s Word!

Just as a strong house needs a solid foundation, we can build strong lives by listening to Jesus and following His teachings. We are so thankful for the opportunity to help our children grow in faith, wisdom, and God’s love! 💛

⚽ Soccer Stars Demo Class This Friday! ⭐

We are excited to welcome Soccer Stars to Cross Bridge Learning Center for a special demo class this Friday, August 28!

Our children will have a fun introduction to soccer while practicing coordination, teamwork, confidence, and gross-motor skills. We can’t wait for them to get moving, learn new skills, and have a great time! ⚽💛

⭐ Conscious Discipline Strategy: S.T.A.R. Breathing ⭐

Big feelings can be overwhelming for little bodies. S.T.A.R. breathing gives children a simple way to pause and begin calming their bodies:

⭐ Smile
🌬️ Take a deep breath
❤️ And
✨ Relax

At Cross Bridge Learning Center, we practice calming strategies when children are already feeling safe and regulated. This helps make those skills more familiar and accessible when frustration, worry, or other big feelings arise.

Families can practice S.T.A.R. breathing at home, too! Sit beside your child, place a hand over your heart or belly, and take a few slow breaths together. Your calm presence helps your child feel safe, connected, and ready to make a helpful choice. 💛

🌟 Meet Melissa Bertrand! 🌟

Melissa serves as our Enrollment Specialist and Mentor Teacher, bringing a heart for children, families, and teachers to our Cross Bridge Learning Center Leadership Team.

When asked to share her heart for working with children, Melissa said: “I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, loved, and accepted. Early childhood is about more than learning letters and numbers—it is about relationships, confidence, kindness, and knowing that you belong. I want my work to reflect God’s love through patience, encouragement, and compassion.”

Melissa lives out these beautiful words through the care and encouragement she provides each day. We feel incredibly blessed to have her experience, compassion, and servant’s heart as part of our Cross Bridge Learning Center Leadership Team! 💛
