Shiphrah and Puah, the Hebrew midwives in the book of Exodus, defied Pharaoh's orders because they "feared God" more than they feared the king. Fearing God means having reverence for His holiness and power that draws us closer to Him, not drives us away.

How many of us have believed lies about our limitations? How often do we disqualify ourselves because we lack experience, resources, or the 'right' position? In our Women of the Bible series we're learning that willingness and obedience matter more than credentials or status.
