Parenting Tip: Start talking about college sooner than later. Stop using HS as a milestone. Change the vision. "When you finish college" is an easy way to change a child's perspective.

Florida parents! Be sure to encourage your kids to log community service hours. The current requirements for Bright Futures Scholarships are between 75-100 hours. Read more about 17-18 requirements at the link below.

Regardless of plans after high school, it is never too early to start a life of service to the community. I recommend starting service projects as early as Elementary School to create the habit.
