Only the second day back to school after our Winter Break, and these 3.5-6 years old students in our primary classroom are working super hard. Children need routine, they need to be mentally challenged. Not only does it improve their concentration, but they also become proud of their studies and allows them wanting for more. This is the true joy of Montessori Education!

Exciting news! Today Greek Bees, a local family-owned business, buzzed into our school to share their expertise on these essential pollinators. Their team spoke about the world of bees and the importance of their role in our environment. Not only did our kiddos get to see bees but also try their amazing honey 🍯 🐝

Thank you to Joe Noto and Michele Camp for traveling to present day Florida all the way from 1840 Florida. The knowledge you shared with the students will impact them for the rest of their lives. It’s easy to forget where we come from living in a world where our coffee is done nearly instantly rather than the 40 minutes it used to take. Your teachings help keep us grounded and recognize our roots and history.

Dia de los Mu***os is a vibrant and beautiful celebration that honors and remembers loved ones who have passed away. It's not a somber occasion, but a lively and colorful festival that embraces the cycle of life and death. In class, the students learned that that the Day of the Dead is about love, remembrance, and celebrating the circle of life. It was a meaningful way to instill in them the importance of respecting and embracing different cultures.
In the end, our celebration of the Day of the Dead was a beautiful, educational, and heartwarming experience. It reinforced the value of cultural traditions and the importance of remembering and honoring our roots, all while creating lasting memories with our children ***os
