We are on for the for the Class of 2021 Cookout (hosted by project grad) for tonight 5-9!! Can't wait to see the class together! No parking in the bus loop or inner parking lot (just the out parking lot) just to give everyone more space. Please, bring a camp chair or picnic blanket as seating will be limited.

The bull and the photo booth are from 5-8 so if you are interested make sure you head that way before 8. Everything else is going 5-9.

Masks are recommended if distancing cannot be maintained.

Okay everyone, this is the latest weather prediction for the evening. My inclination is to push forward with the Class Cookout and get as much in as we can before the weather turns but I want your thoughts. If we cancel I am unsure of when/ if we would be rescheduling (working on Plan B ). So post your thoughts below. Do you think we should go for it or try for a Plan B? I want to let Blast Party and our Food People know by 9am at the latest. Parents and students can weigh in but I am giving more weight to student voices.

The Class of 2021 Cookout (hosted by Project Grad) is still on for the same day and time!!!! Tomorrow, 5-9. I am only cancelling if there are thunderstorms or a real enough threat that I have no choice.

Good Afternoon Mariner Nation,

First, I want to thank all of you who provided helpful guidance while we figured out how to adjust to weather forecast for the next few days and for us to decide what our graduation ceremony could look like given the situation we were left with.

I had a few conversations with some of the senior class who did a wonderful job of expressing how important it is that this class gets the opportunity the graduate as a group. After a great deal of scrambling we have determined that we will have graduation on the football field at 5:00 on Wednesday 6/9. Please keep in mind, this is likely to be a streamlined ceremony and it will likely get cold quickly as the sun goes down and it will be buggy. However, this will allow the entire senior class to be together one last time before they head off in their own direction.

Obviously, we don’t have all the information yet, but we will get more out to you midday tomorrow. The parking passes will still be used, and you may still bring two car loads of people. You will need to provide your own seating as chairs will not be provided.

Reminder: The Class of 2021 Cookout will be on June 8th from 5-9. Seniors, teachers, and steering committee only. Masks recommended if you cannot space 6ft apart. Food starting at 6pm ish. Blast Party Activities from 5-9 (varying lengths), 5-6 item raffle at 8:30pm (you must be present to win).

There will be a small Project Grad gift handed out today at cap and gown pick-up and then another bigger gift at graduation.

The Junior class families have stepped up to help set up so everything is ready to roll at 5pm and they have donated side dishes and desserts for the event.

If you are donating a raffle item, please bring it to OHS by the end of the day Monday. Thanks!
