As we get ready to start the new year, I wanted to introduce our new part-time administrator/middle school English and Bible teacher.

Meet Dr. Kevin Newman.

Dr. Kevin Newman brings a rich background in Christian education and ministry to Pen Bay Christian School. He has served as a professor at four Bible colleges, as Academic Dean at three of those institutions, and as President of a Bible college in Virginia. He has also served as Head of School at a K–12 Christian school in Alaska and has pastored churches in several communities.

Kevin and his family have also served as missionaries, primarily among Native American communities in Alaska and Arizona. He comes to PBCS with his wife of 40 years, Dawn. Although their four children and six grandchildren remain outside of Maine, Kevin and Dawn are excited to be part of the PBCS community.

Kevin has a deep commitment to Christian education and to helping students and families grow in their faith and walk with Christ.

We are excited to welcome Victoria Crain back to Pen Bay Christian School. Victoria first taught at PBCS 24 years ago, and we are thrilled that she is returning to teach middle school English and History.

Victoria earned her undergraduate degree from Cairn University in Philadelphia, where she studied Bible and Music. She holds a Master of Arts degree in History from Liberty University.

She has had the opportunity to participate in opera, international vocal ensemble tours, and theater. Travel, live classical music, and her children bring her joy.

She has spent the last decade homeschooling her son and daughter while moving around the eastern seaboard, only to keep landing back in Maine, where she started.

Meet Jana Gerardi, our new High School Home Room Teacher and Facilitator.

Jana graduated from New Brunswick Bible Institute with a degree in Religious Education and is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Secondary Education. For the past eight years, she has served as a substitute teacher in her local school district, working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Her experience spans leadership and support roles in general education and special education classrooms, as well as instruction across core academic subjects and electives. We are excited to welcome Jana to our staff.
