After my non-verbal son woke up from his nap he came over and grabbed my hand and led me to the fridge. I hadn't shown him the pictures yet but he discovered them on his own. He pointed to the Burger, I asked him if he wanted a Burger, and he smiled and jumped up and down. Oh this boy melts my heart!💘💘
I also made pictures with activities of fun things we like to do. These were pictures I took on my phone and had printed at Walgreens.

We worked on speech and fine motor skills while using bingo markers and paper. Bingo markers are from Five Below for $5 (5pc set). They're also available as singles for $1.25 at Dollar Tree. Buttttt...it's tons of fun for all ages and will keep your children engaged.

SN: This activity is messy and requires adult supervision.

Learning is a family affair. Ensure that everyone in your child's life plays an active role in helping your child learn. Model for family and friends skills that you're practicing with your child so they can help too. The "village" still exists.

Improve your child's fine motor skills by allowing them to explore with food. Here are ideas:

1. Allow them to finger feed themselves.
2. Allow them to use child size utensils (spoon, fork).
3. Allow them to try different sauces.
4. Offer food and drink choices (milk or juice, pizza or chicken, chips or cookies). Encourage your little one to point while making choices.

Feeding is messy. But your child's growth and independence is worth it!
