🇺🇸 Never Forget | September 11, 2001

This morning, our JROTC Cadets led a meaningful flag-raising ceremony in remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We are incredibly thankful for their leadership, respect, and commitment to honoring the significance of this day.

Our heartfelt thank you goes out to the members of our military, veterans, current and former first responders, and all who have serve our communities and country. We are grateful for your service, sacrifice, and commitment.

⏰ RAIDER ATTENDANCE & TARDY REMINDER

Any student arriving to school after 8:00 AM must report to the front office first to receive a late slip before reporting to class.

Remember, if you arrive late to class, you will be marked tardy—even if you have a late slip from the front office. The late slip shows that you checked in through the office; it does not excuse the tardy. If you have documentation such as a doctor’s note, turn it in to the front office and any appropriate attendance corrections will be made at the end of the day.

Tardy sweeps between periods have also started. Students caught in a tardy sweep will be assigned After-School Detention. Teachers will also assign ASD when a student reaches their 4th tardy to that specific class.

Be on time. Be in class. Be ready to learn. ❇️

🚌CLARIFICATION – BUS TRANSPORTATION🚌

Raider families, we want to clarify today’s transportation update regarding Bus 40 and Bus 65.

If your student is affected by these route changes and does not have another means of transportation home, transportation will still be provided. A bus will return after completing its first route to pick up those students. Please be aware that this will result in students arriving home later than their normal time.

We understand that transportation delays can place a burden on our students and families, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and flexibility. We want to provide every possible transportation option for our students while we continue working to fully staff our bus routes.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Richmond Senior High School.❇️

Good evening, Raider families. This is an important update about bus transportation for tomorrow (Thursday 9/10/26).

Bus 40 will not run tomorrow morning or afternoon. Bus 65 will run tomorrow morning but will not run tomorrow afternoon.

Families affected by these routes are encouraged to seek alternate transportation arrangements. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

We are working hard to ensure that these routes are covered in the future! 🚌❇️

🧹 A Few Raider Housekeeping Reminders! 🧹

As we settle into the school year, we want to remind students and families of a few expectations we reviewed during our grade-level orientation meetings last week. These expectations help us maintain a safe, focused, and productive learning environment for everyone.

⏰ TARDY SWEEPS: We completed our first tardy sweep today as a warning and reminder for students. Moving forward, tardy sweeps will be conducted weekly, and students caught in a sweep will be assigned after-school detention. Be present, be on time, and be ready to learn!

👕 DRESS CODE: Students should arrive each day dressed in accordance with the RSHS dress code. Please review the expectations on the graphic and make sure you are in compliance before coming to school.

📱 CELL PHONES: Under our door-to-door policy, cell phones are permitted during class transitions and lunch. However, as soon as a student enters the classroom, the phone should be put away and remain away during instructional time. AirPods, headphones, and other devices that interfere with hearing instruction or announcements are not permitted at any point during the day.

🪪 STUDENT IDs: IDs are an important part of our daily safety procedures. They allow staff to quickly identify students, help ensure that individuals on campus belong here, and are also used for services such as lunch and transportation. Students should have their RSHS ID properly displayed throughout the school day.

These are simple housekeeping measures that make a big difference when everyone does their part. Our goal isn’t simply compliance—it’s protecting instructional time, maintaining a safe campus, and creating an environment where everyone can be successful.

Thank you, Raiders, for representing RSHS the right way each day! ❇️
