The Rock Valley College Center for Learning in Retirement (CLR) invites community members to discover the joys of lifelong learning at its Fall Kick-Off & Annual Meeting on Wednesday, August 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bengt Sjostrom (Starlight) Theatre on the Rock Valley College Main Campus.
The free event is open to the public and offers an opportunity to learn about CLR's extensive lineup of educational, cultural, and social opportunities for Fall 2026.

For the Steins, one audition sparked a family tradition that’s become a lasting part of Rock Valley College’s Starlight Theatre.
Emily Stein’s introduction to Starlight began in 2004, when she auditioned for Show Boat with her mother and brother. It was her first time setting foot on Starlight stage, but it wouldn’t be her last. “You just keep coming back,” Emily says.
