Aneri Mehta chose to attend Rock Valley College because it gave her the opportunity to pursue her interests in biology and have a balanced lifestyle with education and extracurricular activities.
"Rock Valley College is a great place to get a head start on your college experience,” said Aneri. “I have grown educationally and also learned how to maturely handle situations that may arise at my 4-year university. Without the help of my advisors and teachers, my experience would have been completely different. I love the feeling of RVC."

Spotlight #10: Erin Fisher, Professor & Chair of Psychology, graduated from RVC in 1991. When asked, "What's your favorite memory while attending/working at RVC?" Erin shared:
"When I first started at RVC, Rockford had something called 'Corporate Cup,' where Rockford companies had teams that would compete in fun sports and activities against other companies. I participated every year and had a fabulous time! My years as Advisor to the Social Sciences Club (SHAPE), along with Martin Quirk, Jerry Crane, and Julie Hernandez, also make up some of the best memories of my time as faculty. Every fall, we would have the Caramel Apple Sale, and we would deliver bowls of sliced apples with caramel, nuts, and whipped cream, all over campus. The police had a golf cart and would take us around to make the deliveries."
