Rockford Preschool and Child Care Services Year-long Preschool & Childcare (7a-6p) for 3-4 yr olds—ideal for working families. Prepare your child for Kindergarten with our skilled staff. options.

We also offer half-day programs, including Montessori, Spanish Immersion, and Community Ed. All of our preschool programs have earned a 4-Star or 5-Star rating through Great Start to Quality, a governing organization that has established high program standards of quality for early childhood programs in Michigan. A non-refundable deposit is required at registration and is applied to the total cost

1. Community Education Preschool
This program has earned a 4-Star rating through Great Start to Quality, a governing organization that has established high program standards of quality for early childhood programs in Michigan. This program helps children develop the ability to work and play together in an enjoyable group setting that utilizes a developmentally appropriate kindergarten readiness curriculum. Students are exposed to and practice social and cognitive skills with a focus on environmental topics. Sessions for three year olds are offered on two days per week, T/TH 8:15-10:15 am or 10:30-12:30 pm for $750.00. Sessions for four year olds are offered four days per week, M-TH 8:45-11:15 am or 12:15-2:45 pm for $1,600.00. Children must be 3 or 4 by September 1 of the current school year. 2. Child Development Lab Preschool
This unique program recently earned their 5-star rating from the Great Start To Quality program! This preschool is one of the highest rated preschool programs in the Rockford area! The Lab preschool is located at Rockford High School and teaches preschoolers to become successful learners through cooperative experiences, problem solving and play, while training high school students enrolled in child development and life skills classes, to become potential educators. Preschool children have many opportunities to learn independence, make decisions, develop creativity, and practice social and kindergarten readiness skills. The activities are planned with care using the High Scope curriculum. This quality approach to early childhood education has been developed through research and practice over 50 years in Ypsilanti, MI. We offer two-day per week sessions for three year olds on T/TH from 9-11:30 am or 12:30-3 pm for $1,000.00. Three-day per week sessions for 4 year olds on Mon./Wed./Fri. from 9:00-11:30 am or 12:30 - 3:00 pm for $1,500.00 Children must be 3 or 4 by September 1 of the current school year. 3. Montessori
This unique program has earned a 4-Star rating through Great Start to Quality, a governing organization that has established high program standards of quality for early childhood programs in Michigan. This program introduces children to practical living skills, sensory education, language, math, science, cultural activities, art, music and movement. Hands-on activities are designed to help children develop a sense of order, concentration, coordination and independence in this child-centered environment. A mix of ages is a key premise of the philosophy. The program meets five morning sessions 8:30-11:30 am or afternoon sessions, 12:00-3:00 pm per week, for $3,700.00 per session. 4. Preschool Enrichment Child Care - Full Day Preschool
Our year round, all day preschool, 7:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m., has also been awarded a 4-star rating from the State of Michigan’s Great Start to Quality rating and improvement system for preschool and child care programs. This is one of the highest ratings in the Rockford area! Parents can be assured that their child will be exposed to varied learning experiences, including a planned preschool program, meals, and both gym and outdoor play. We are proud of our well trained staff and the relationships that have built with Rockford families. PECC serves children ages 3-4, and is open for year 'round care. The cost is $42.00 per day/child with a minimum set schedule of 2-days/week is required. This program can also be used in conjunction with our Montessori and/or Spanish preschool programs at a slightly reduced rate, if seats are available. 5. Spanish Preschool
This program has earned a 4-Star rating through Great Start to Quality, a governing organization that has established high program standards of quality for early childhood programs in Michigan. This blended program is for three and four year olds utilizing materials to introduce preschoolers to the Spanish language. The program is offered at the Administration Building on Mon./Wed./Fri. from 9:15-11:45 am for the morning session or 12:30 - 3:00 pm for the afternoon session, for $1,800.00 per session. Children must be 3 by the current school year. Registration can be done at www.rps.digitalsignup.com

6. Elementary Before and After School Care (BAC)
Our BAC programs are offered at each elementary school for school aged (DK-5th. grade) kids that will provide parents with the security of knowing their children are in a safe, fun and nurturing environment before and after school hours. BAC is offered every day that school is in session, scheduled half days, as well as some school vacation days. Table games, crafts, gym time, outdoor play and an afternoon snack are planned each day. 7. Elementary Summer School Age Program
This is a great way to spend his or her time off during the summer months! School age children enjoy a full day of sports, games, crafts, field trips and special activities. An enthusiastic and creative staff have made this outstanding program an option for students who have completed DK through entering 6th grade. A full summer commitment, with a set 2-day/week minimum is necessary for the scheduling and planning needed to run this program. E-mail enrollment is typically in early March. Our half-day preschoolers took on a very important mission today: helping our Community Services team test out the photo backdrop and those fun light-up accessories for tomorrow night’s Daughter Dance.

A big thank you to our wonderful teachers for letting these little stars take a quick "field trip" to help get everything ready for the big event! We love seeing our youngest Rams helping out the community. 🐏🧡
