We the city of Rockford, Illinois have been put on the map,radio,TV,and the worldwide web in a very negative way. We have been accused of being the 10th most violent city in the country,also one of the worst cities to live in. This has got to stop; it's going to take all of us working together. If we each do a little,we will get a lot done. Rockford is a wonderful place to live​. It's not the place we live in; it's some of the people who are living in the place. The movement is on to sign up every person in the city to become a buddy to spread love,peace,joy,and happiness. Lets be put on the map as the very first city in America to become "The City Of Buddily Love." From one month old to a 100 years plus. A million buddies plus is all of us.

We Women Waited
Little girl waited a long time ago.
Praying, thinking, hoping, wishing.
Never knowing what would come forth.
Once upon a time my grandma said “What’s in your heart? What’s in your head?” though now she be dead.
We waited to see what lies ahead.
Did she know? Did she see?
In the white house, someday we would be.
A black president, and his family.
We women waited praying, hoping, thinking, wishing.
That someday we would see.
All the things that have came to be.
Entering into a race we never thought would be.
We women waited to be free.
From trying to be, and just be.
We women waited, for years and years to see.
What has now come to be.
Little girls wait no more.
The first lady, Michelle Obama has opened that door.
Now look little girl, little black girl, little brown girl.
With straight, or kinky curls.
Cornrows, dreads, or a bald head.
It doesn’t matter anymore!
For first lady Michelle Obama had opened that door.
Now you can see just what a women you can be.
Stand up and walk tall!
Doesn’t matter short or tall.
She’s awesome, educated, beautiful and chic.

R Rich in Knowledge on how to erase the shame and pain of racial issues and
equality for all humane.

T Troubled at times of what lies ahead, as well as what was left behind

I In God he trusted, as Americans did know. Love, peace, joy and hope for all of
us were the seeds that he did sow

N Never giving up the dream that he had for equal treatment for all children,
their moms and dads

I saw flora on the news and want to say how much she impressed me and encouraged me ! Its a breath of fresh air to see that people like her and others want to do and say things positive for our community! I believe loving kindness needs to be planted in our community from one loving person to another ...it can and will flourish like beautiful wild flowers if we try....yes, there are people who are lost and full of hate and wandering in the wrong directions ...they need much love at home and in our community to want to make a change.anyone can improve themselves; we have all faultered at times and made mistakes .but with gods love , guidance and the same from others we can overcome anything ....I believe this! May you all find peace , love and tranquility ...lance Dauenbaugh. I'm just an average citizen who cares ...wants to be loved and respected and do the same back!!!
