At graduation, each student received a small key.

What we didn’t expect was what happened next.

Our graduates started sharing updates in our GroupMe—job interviews, apprenticeship opportunities, employer meetings, applications submitted, and job offers received.

They began calling it “using their key.”

That simple key became a symbol of action.

A reminder that workforce development is not about checking a box or earning a certificate. It’s about taking the next step, showing up, and creating opportunities for yourself and your family.
