The Lakes Elementary School PTO in Rockford, Michigan facilitates relationships between educators and parents to provide more enriching opportunities for our students and families. The Lakes Elementary School PTO provides:

Here's to our Lakes 5th Graders, Class of 2033! Before the school year ended , the 5th grade classes from all the elementary schools that will attend East Rockford Middle School were able to have an incoming-6th graders social! Hosted by Rebounderz, the students enjoyed an afternoon of pizza, pop, fun, and making new friends!
Good luck and congratulations to all of our Lakes 5th Graders as they move on to the next step in their education journey, we can't wait to see you back for your Senior Year walk through in 2033!

These are photos from the Lakes 5th grade field trip to Junior Achievement Biz Town experience!

The students were all assigned a job in the town, they received two paychecks (one with a check they deposited at the bank and one was a direct deposit), went to the doctor for a checkup, had many options regarding how to spend, save, or donate their money, and balanced their checkbook. As a company they handled taking out a loan, repaying the loan through sales, paying bills, and making sales.

They also got to vote on laws, and visit town hall meetings as citizens of Biz Town

Last week our Lakes 2nd graders got to learn all about our amazing hometown! With visits to the fire department, police department, Rockford Area Museum (RAM), Pioneer Cemetery, a one-room school house, and a walking tour of historical sights downtown! Special thanks to The Local Basket Case for the special treat and souvenir for each student!
