This week was all about names, names, names at Playtown Preschool Center! We practiced name recognition and writing our names many different ways. We had so much fun our preschoolers might not have even realized they were also learning!

Even though summer is done, we can still have fun!
Learning is FUN here at Playtown Preschool Center! We are off to a great start and have been busy exploring our classroom and learning new skills.

We are officially back to school! We had a great couple of first days back here at Playtown! Lots of new friendships and memories made already and we have just begun!

We want to know your favorite thing about the back-to-school season—whether you’re heading back this year (as a student or a teacher!), you’re a parent, or you’ve been out of school for years!

Pirates took over our Summer School Preschool class! Melting icebergs to save Lego people, experiments, sinking ships water table fun, stories, and Pirates songs with Pastor Scott!

Yesterday during Chapel, we turned to Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God." To absorb the lesson, we had the kids play "Who can be still the longest". This might just be the teachers' new favorite game!

What's one of your favorite games to play with kids?

Did you know that there's a lot of research behind smiling? Smiles are mood boosters, help us relax, and can make us more productive. At Playtown Preschool Center, there are lots of smiling faces and new friendships being formed. So, here are some recent photos of some of the smiling faces we see each day 😊 Make sure to share a smile with someone today!

Recently, Playtown received the Quality Improvements Grant from the State of Illinois. With the funds, new science area toys, learning games, gross motor equipment, a pretend grocery store, and new chairs have all been purchased. We're so thankful for this grant and the new items for our classroom. We even had fun with all the boxes!

Maybe your child was not 3 by September 1st or just not ready yet? It is not too late to register for Preschool! We are taking late registrations! This week we made new friends!! This project was so much fun! The laughs were so cute!

We ended the school year with some fun and silly days! We are so grateful for all of our students and will miss everyone!!

We hope everyone has a fantastic summer and look forward to seeing many of our students back for our 3 summer camps!

On Monday evening we got to enjoy our Preschool Graduation and sending off our kiddos to kindergarten! We are so thankful for each and every one of our students and their families! We pray everyone has a safe and blessed summer and wonderful start in Kindergarten.

Tell us…What are some of your beautiful memories with your children?

It was Uu week so we colored Under the tables and played Under the tables!

We are very Thankful for our new toys, puzzles, and learning games we received because of a State Grant!!

We had a fantastic day trying to catch the leprechaun and having our own shamrock shakes 🍀 Unfortunately, it got out of our trap but it left us lots of goodies and chocolate coins!!!

This week was letter R week so of course we had to make pet Rocks, talk about rain and count out pretend rain drops on paper towels!!
