Meet Rahaf Tollah, an international alumna from Saudi Arabia and Rockford University BSN Class of 2025.

After graduation, Rahaf returned to Saudi Arabia, earned her nursing license, volunteered with the Saudi Red Crescent, and completed healthcare courses. She is now gaining professional experience while preparing for a future master’s degree in nursing.

Rahaf credits her nursing professors and the Office of Global Affairs for their support throughout her journey at RU. 💜🧡

Meet Xinlu Li, an international alumna from China and Rockford University Class of 2026.

After graduating from Rockford University and Nanjing Sports Institute, Xinlu is continuing her academic journey as a graduate student at the University of Melbourne.

She is proud of achieving an IELTS score she worked hard for and credits her time at RU with helping her gain knowledge, experience new classroom environments, understand different cultures, and learn valuable life lessons.

Her message:

Meet Frederico Zeni Maia, an international alumnus from Brazil and Rockford University MBA Class of 2023.

Frederico is now working as a Project Coordinator at Woodward, Inc., where he supports complex, large-scale aerospace projects. He is proud to be part of a friendly and caring team that values the growth of its employees.

He credits Rockford University with helping him begin his career in the aerospace industry through internship opportunities and connections between students and companies.

His advice:

“Pay the Office of Global Affairs a visit! They always have cool events, study abroad opportunities, and great coffee.”

Meet Rodrigo Alberdi Iglesias, an international alumnus from Spain and Rockford University MBA Class of 2025.

After graduating in May 2025, Rodrigo returned to Spain and took on greater responsibilities in his family’s business as part of the direction team. He continues to apply lessons from his MBA experience, professors, classmates, and the meaningful connections he made at RU.

His advice:

“Travel, learn, and take that leap of faith. Everything else will fall into place.”

Admitted students from Ghana had the opportunity to attend an informative EducationUSA session on the student visa application process. The session helped students better understand the next steps and prepare for their journey to study in the United States.

Prospective students had the opportunity to learn more about studying in the U.S., the application process, and what Rockford University has to offer.
