Introducing your 2026-2027 Student Council Officers!

Hello, I’m Stephen Busse and I get to serve as HIS Coordinator alongside Josef Steurer this year. I am currently 16 years old and in my junior year. This is my 6th year attending Hallstrom and I’m very excited to help serve the wonderful community here. I enjoy being outside, reading, listening to music, and hanging out with family and friends. One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 20:7, which says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.”

Introducing your 2026-2027 Student Council Officers!

Hello! My name is Josef Steurer. I am the Hallstrom HIS Coordinator for the 2026-27 school year along with Stephen Busse. I am 17 years old and a rising senior. I have been attending Hallstrom since 2017. I enjoy running, working, and taking part in the homeschool community. My goal for this year at Hallstrom is to be using my gifts and time to advance the kingdom of Christ by revealing His light to others.
"Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeing the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." Colossians 3:1.

Introducing your 2026-2027 Student Council Officers!

My name is Alex Wishall, and this year I have the privilege of serving as treasurer on Hallstrom’s Student Council!

My family moved from Colorado to Rockford in January of 2023, and we have been participating in Hallstrom since then. The Hallstrom community has been such a blessing to my family and I am eager to give back to Hallstrom by serving in this way!

I am entering my Junior year of high school, and when I am not in school I enjoy performing in musicals with Christian Youth Theater and the Studio; attending Redeemer Church; serving at Redeemer’s youth group; skiing in the Rocky Mountains; playing chess; and spending time with my parents, my older brother Timothy, and my two younger siblings.

I am excited for this next school year and hope, most of all, that the Lord uses it to grow our dependence upon Him!

Introducing your 2026-2027 Student Council Officers!

My name is Timothy Wishall, and I have the honor of serving as this year's Student Council President!

I have been at Hallstrom for three and a half years, and have been homeschooled my whole life. I got to live in Denver, Colorado for 10 years, and have lived in Rockford for almost four years now. Service and community through Redeemer Church Rockford are a huge part of my life thanks to my parents' faithful example. In my free time, I enjoy playing chess, listening to audiobooks, and making memories with my family! I have worked at the Machesney Park Chick-fil-A for over a year now and get to serve guests alongside my brother Alex! I love the outdoors, and especially enjoy skiing, mountain biking, and playing ultimate frisbee,

One of my favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." Trusting in and fully relying on the Lord is something that I will always be striving to do more, and I hope this verse can serve as a call to action and encouragement for you today!
