One of my favorite Community Outreach that the School Age children do every summer is to go and perform the Vacation Bible School music to the residents at The Luther Center. The children dress in their best and put on an amazing performance. This year the kids chose to sing all six songs and Need of Prayer two times because they received a standing ovation and even brought one lady to tears of joy. Walking back the kids continued to sing as we walked the streets of Rockford. It was a beautiful day singing praises to the Lord.

Vacation Bible School was so much fun this year. The children all had their favorite stations. Alot have already said they can not wait till next year.

Day 5:
Hello! My name is Octavia and I am a beautiful Octopus. I was created by God, just like you. Today, I met some awesome kids at VBS and shared with them that "God is a friend for everyone." Yep, Yep... everyone! Our bible verse was John 3: 16: "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." Today was our last day for VBS but I hope what the kids have learned this week, they will always remember. God is a friend...who's real...who loves...we can trust...forever....for everyone! Now, that's a friend! What a great week at SCUBA....can't wait until next year!

Day 4 of Vacation Bible School!

Day 4:
Hello! My name is Waylon and I am a whale shark. I met some cool kids today at VBS while we sang some songs and learned about the awesomeness of God. My message was "God is a friend forever!" The bible verse I used was John 11: 25: "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying." Wow...What a great God we have! I can't wait until tomorrow!

The children are in their 3rd day of Vacation Bible School and absolutely enjoying every moment. Thank you to all the great volunteers from Trinity Lutheran Church that helps put this week together.

What a great day at VBS! We've ended our 3rd day knowing that God can be trusted. This is Fisher and he is a seal. Today, Fisher helped us learn that "God is a friend we can trust" Our Bible verse today is John 14: 27: "I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart." I can't wait until tomorrow for another day of SCUBA!

"Dear God,
Help me out of here, it's nasty and this whales breath stinks! I promise to be good!"

Day 2 of VBS has come to a close. What a great morning we had learning about God and love. This is Finnley, a dolphin, who taught us that "God is a friend who loves!" Our Bible verse today is John 13: 34: "Just as I have loved you, you should love each other." Another great day at SCUBA!

School Age children and Preschool children enjoyed their first day of Vacation Bible School at Trinity Lutjeran Church. Here are some pictures of the morning.

Day 1 of VBS is over. Today, we were introduced to Tad, a frogfish, who taught us that "God is a friend who's real. Our Bible verse was "We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God." (john 6: 69) The Bible Story today focused on Elijah. It was an awesome first day at SCUBA!

Today School Age enjoyed a day of bowling. Thank you to Forest Hills Bowling Lanes for a great time. The children enjoyed the music, lights, and pure fun of bowling. The highest score boy and girl of each class won a trophy necklace for the first game. All the children did a great job and all encouraged one another.

Happy Independence Day from Trinity Day Care. Take a look at the fun things that went on in celebration of the 4th of July. Have a fun and safe weekend. Remember we are closed tomorrow as well.

Trinity Day Care, Inc. Cereal drive is going well. We are only 93 boxes away from reaching are BIG GOAL! We will receive all the goal prizes if we meet it. We will still collect till the end of the month.

Thank you to those that have brought in cereal boxes for the drive. We have reached the first goal but have more goals to accomplish. We will continue to collect through the end of June.

This month we have 7 wonderful staff members celebrating their work anniversaries. Melissa has been with us 21 years, Kaitlynn K. 10 years, Emmerretta 7 years and Stephanie 6 years. Katlynn N., Shania, and Jahbarr have been 1 year. We are blessed to have these dedicated staff members as part of our team.

The Cereal Food Drive has been in full force. We are one week in and are only five boxes away to reach our first goal. Help us go even higher!!! Bring any kind of cereal in one day this week. We appreciate the contributions that have been made.

We are off to a good start. If you have not donated yet you have all month to do so. One box of cereal a family will have us filling in our thermometer and we’ll be celebrating for a week.

Trinity Day Care has partnered with Trinity Lutheran Church to host a blood drive on July 2nd. Please support our drive by signing up at the front desk and help save lives in our community.

Remember to bring in boxes of cereal for the Cereal Food drive. We will be taking donations through the month of June

As summer will soon begin we would like to wish all our Preschool Graduates the best wishes in their upcoming new schools. Kindergarten here they come!!!

Happy work anniversary to these amazing staff members. Miss Sam, Miss Angie, Miss Becky, and Miss Jalana have all been at Trinity since we opened our doors 21 years ago. Miss Natalie has been here 11 years, Brian and Miss Susanne have been here 8 years, Miss Ana 3 years, Tonya 2 years, and Miss Ari 1 year. Trinity is very blessed to have these dedicated staff members.

The Annual Spaghetti Dinner is a week away! This is a fun event that brings our families and staff together to talk and socialize, have a great inexpensive dinner, and maybe win a basket.
