ABC'S and 123'S Daycare Licensed Child care

Our childcare program is currently accepting full-time enrollments for children aged 24 months to 4 years, with operating hours of 5am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Kindergarten spots are also available. We understand that every family's schedule is unique, and we may be able to accommodate flexible scheduling arrangements; please reach out to discuss your specific needs. Our site is typically staffed by 2-3 qualified providers, with staffing levels adjusted according to enrollment numbers.

I would like to provide a brief update on our current enrollment status. We are currently caring for 7(9mo-5yr) children on a daily basis, with 3 of them being under the age of 2 years. As a result, we have not been able to capture as many photographs as we have in the past. Over the weekend, I plan and prepare the activities for the upcoming week, taking into account the children's interests and the skills they need to develop. Throughout the week, we provide breakfast, lunch, and two snacks. I am responsible for cooking and preparing meals for the 2-5 year olds, while also assisting the under 2 year olds with breakfast. Meanwhile, Bob helps the 2-5 year olds with their daily activities. At times, the children are grouped together, and at other times, they are separated into two age-based groups. During lunchtime for the 2-5 year olds, the under 2 year olds work on developing their walking and pulling-up skills. Our daily routine incorporates learning opportunities, although we have not been able to document as much as we would like due to our focus on supporting the younger children's gross motor skills. We are hopeful that they will be walking independently within the next month, enabling us to utilize our outdoor classroom more effectively.
We also have have two after school age children.

A few activities we worked on this week.
Letter are aways talked about, colors and numbers are worked into our daily work.
The kids have been more interested in weather to know if we can get outside so we are using our weather board a bit more.
Positional words are a favorite to work on once the kids figure them out they love "hiding" things.

Our lunches this week

After lunch, the children proceeded to the playground and then made a final check on the sensory bins before nap/rest time.
We have tired to soak in as much of the nice weather we have left as we can this week

Morning work or play time, after breakfast, is a productive start to our day.

Empowering rice and beans sensory play. Scooping, pouring, funnels, big spoons to carry from bin to bin. Discovering with their hands. Enjoyed the beautiful weather outside.

Our "soup" activity was a recipe for success, blending colors, counting, and patterns with math skills, and serving up a delicious learning experience.

We put up a magnet board for the kids to use in the outside classroom. It is across from the letter board. The kids were enjoying exploring it and counting the magnets.
