Miss Bri, your hard work, steady dedication, and leadership help keep everything moving forward each and every day. As our Assistant Director, we truly could not do this without you. The care you pour into your work never takes away from the love and attention you give to our children. That balance is something special.

Thank you for the countless ways you show up for our team, our families, and our school. Nest is stronger because of you.

Today we are celebrating one of the bright lights in our twos classroom!

Miss Laney, thank you for the kindness, warmth, and spunky energy you bring into our space each day. You are so attentive to our children, supportive of families, and thoughtful with your coworkers. The way you show up for our twos with patience, care, and joy truly reflects our C.A.R.E.S. values in action.

Sensory play supports focus, coordination, and problem-solving.

As children scoop, pour, sort, and build, they’re exploring how materials feel, move, and work together.

In this month’s construction theme, simple materials take on new purpose, inviting building ideas with beans, corks, noodles, and vehicles.

🌱🍅 Checking on our Garden 🍅🌱

Our little vegetable garden is growing! The kids were excited to check on our tomatoes today, and we can’t wait to try them once they’re ready. It’s been so fun to watch things grow and learn along the way.

Last week we celebrated our four amazing Pre-K graduates! We’re going to miss them so much, but we’re happy for them and all the new and exciting things they’ll do in kindergarten.

Miss Max made the day extra special with a sweet speech and a musical performance from the Pre-K class that had everyone smiling…and a little teary-eyed too.

After the ceremony, we kept the celebration going with a family event, with face painting, bounce houses, snacks, treats, and plenty of conversations and laughs. It was such a joyful day to honor our graduates and spend time together as a Nest community.

We had Bruce the Bug Guy come to Nest today and it was such a blast. The kids learned all about bugs and insects we see in Minnesota, plus some wild ones from around the world too.

Our brave little learners got hands-on with:
🦋 One of the largest moths in North America
🪳 Hissing cockroaches
🐛 Squirming millipedes
🕷️ And Rosy, a big friendly tarantula!

The excitement was real, and we were barely squeamish. 😉 What an incredible way to learn about the fascinating creatures that share our world!

Our Pre-K class got to witness something magical this week—our very first butterfly emerged from its chrysalis! 🦋

The children were completely captivated as it dried its wings and explored the world outside for the first time. They offered it a slice of orange and watched closely as it gently tested out its new wings.

To go along with our butterfly kit, the class created beautiful symmetrical butterfly art and some very charming caterpillars of their own.

From observing real-life transformation to expressing it through art, the kids are making meaningful connections between nature, science, and creativity.
