🍋 Our 3rd graders turned a book into a business! 📖

After studying 'The Lemonade War' by Jacqueline Davies, our students learned real business values like goodwill and added value. Then they put those lessons to work with their very own lemonade stand.

Books build thinkers. Thinkers change the world. 💛

The popsicles are gone, and so is our energy. Field Day was such a fun time ☀️ A huge thank you to all of our wonderful parents who showed up and made the day so special. And a major shoutout to Ms. Lindsey for making it all happen! We are so lucky to have such an incredible community behind our kids. 🙌

A huge shoutout to our Elementary II 6th graders who spent the day volunteering at the Northern Illinois Food Bank! 🎒🥦

Part of the Montessori journey is recognizing that we are all global citizens with the power to make a positive impact. Our students worked beautifully together, practicing collaboration, organization, and hard work to help feed families in our area.

Thank you to the Northern Illinois Food Bank for having us, and to our students for leading with kindness and compassion! 🌟

Dr. Montessori believed that children shouldn't just read about the natural world in books. Instead, they need to touch it, explore it, and discover its wonders firsthand. 🐛✨

Our students did exactly that! They discovered this fascinating little caterpillar and, after a bit of research and careful observation, identified it as a future Skipper butterfly.

Following their research on the animals' habitat and dietary needs, they were then placed in a secure environment with the appropriate nutrition.

Moments like these bridge science with wonder, allowing our students to witness the magic of metamorphosis up close. We love watching their curiosity take flight! 🦋

One of the core pillars of Montessori is community, and our recent "Coffee and Chat" was the perfect example of that in action. While our Elementary II students practiced hospitality and leadership skills by serving up fresh coffee and baked goods, our parents gathered to do some hard work of their own.

It was a beautiful space to talk through real-life parenting struggles, dive into insightful articles, and remind each other that we’re in this together. Huge shoutout to our Upper Elementary baristas for keeping the caffeine flowing, and to our wonderful parents for building a network of mutual support.
