Ellis & Lewis Lemon Elementary School students joined the Rockford Police Department for an Earth Day Clean-Up at Rockford Ridge. This year's theme of "Our Power, Our Planet" emphasizes grassroots organizing, local solutions, & accountability to protect environmental standards.

The Committee of the Whole Road Show continues tonight at Lewis Lemon Elementary! Join us at 6 p.m. at 1993 Mulberry Street. Principal Aleshia Jones will share an update on her school. See Board business in action where learning happens every day.

Lewis Lemon kindergarten teachers (Mrs. Towle, Mrs. Rundall & Mrs. Smart) hosted the 3rd annual Royal Tea Party. It was a culminating activity for the Kings & Queens unit of CKLA. Students dressed up as princes & princesses, sat on a “throne” for their royal portrait to be taken, and enjoyed tea & crumpets. This gave them a deeper understanding of what it meant to act like and be like royalty. All eyes were on them throughout the day as their dress up outfits made them stand out.

Attention, Agents! Our Book Blast event starts next week. We will set off on a mission to build our students' home libraries. Follow the steps on the Treasure Map coming home next week to embark on this operation to earn exciting prizes and books. 🗺️🌟
