7th grade scholars are working together to create 3D homes using cardboard. Last month, scholars acted as interior designers and now they are thinking like architects!
Kindergarten scholars illustrated ways that they can show kindness to others. Their work is now on display in the hallway!
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade scholars have been drawing illustrations of Monday’s solar eclipse. We love the different facial expressions on the sun and moon! 🌞🌕
1st grade scholars created illustrations and writing samples to the prompt, “I have the right to be a child.” We love their responses!
Ms. Jones recently hosted a vision board club for eligible scholars! What a great idea for scholars to express their goals and future through their individual unique boards using a variety of materials.
4th and 5th grade scholars created animal head sculptures inspired by contemporary Chinese artist, Ai Weiwei!
6th grade scholars created paper vases inspired by Ancient Greek pottery.
7th grade scholars acted as interior designers to draw floor plans and 3D rooms. Great job!
8th grade scholars used wire and plaster cloth to create unique sculptures in art class!

Our Kindergartners were elated to decorate their own letters after reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
They got very creative with their decorations, giving their letters a whole lot of character!
Our scholars recently made blankets for a local animal shelter! Some of the fourth grade scholars also wrote letters thanking the shelter for its services. The shelter was very thankful for this support. The animals are very much in need of blankets. This was a fun outreach project for our scholars and one that made a great impact in our community!
Inspired by Ai Weiwei ‘s “Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads,” 4th and 5th grade scholars are creating mini sculptures!
After watching a video about Weiwei’s sculptures, students chose an animal to create using modeling clay!
Last Friday, our scholars were treated to a PBIS event with the Discovery Center! The feedback from the students was very positive. They truly enjoyed this event and are already asking about the next one!
Culture Clubs have been a big hit in grades 3-5. Our students are embracing the opportunities to earn time to play games with their friends where they are encouraged to strategize, follow rules, collaborate, and be a team player, OR they can choose to visit Ms. Jones’s Art and Craft class where they can show off their creativity.

4th and 5th grade scholars recently painted Japanese koi fish using a complementary color scheme!

Our kindergarten and first grade scholars created paper mittens in art class. They used a variety of lines to make a pattern. When we work together, we show what it means to be kind.
7th grade scholars recently completed plaster cloth face sculptures, inspired by a career in Special Effects Makeup.
Scholars watched clips from the competition show, Face Off, for inspiration. Each scholar was tasked with creating a nonhuman face. Great work!
Kindergarten scholars explained why their snowman has melted!!! ⛄️ Their artwork and writing samples are on display for all to enjoy!
