Every $25 donated (up to $100 or 4 tickets per donation) will get you a ticket for the Pick-a-Prize: a chance to win prizes like making ice-cream in the chemistry lab with Dr. Breiter, a forensics experience with Dr. Twitty, or lunch with President Lynott.

Alumni are encouraged to join us for Seaver Swish, a special Regents Basketball game day hosted by the Campus Activities Board this Saturday, January 17.

In addition to the women's and men's games, Seaver Swish features family-friendly activities, mini-games, prizes, and giveaways throughout the afternoon!

Women's Basketball begins at 1:00 PM, followed by Men's Basketball at 3:15 PM in the Seaver Gymnasium.

Each holiday season, the Office of Advancement and Alumni decorates their office Christmas tree with ornaments donated from alums over the years in honor of an old RU tradition: the Hanging of the Greens.

Years ago, one dedicated employee catalogued all of the donated decorations, typing up the stories behind each ornament. This year, we're inviting you to take a look inside our archive and read the stories behind some of our holiday decor.

The next ornament in our series is Ornament #14, donated by Mrs. Doris Boyce '1928, another gift for our tree from an alum who graduated nearly 100 years ago! The Austrian lead crystal was donated by Mrs. Boyce in 1978, and while she said she never did enjoy wearing it as a piece of jewelry, it makes "quite a lovely Christmas tree ornament."

Since 1996, RU students, alumni, and faculty have spent spring break making a difference in Starkville, Mississippi by helping build homes alongside Habitat for Humanity. As this tradition reaches its 30th year, we look ahead to the 2026 trip happening March 7-14. 🛠️
