This funding goes directly toward supporting our K–12 students and purchasing literacy materials to help young readers across Sweetwater County succeed.

At the Sweetwater Literacy Center, we provide explicit dyslexia and reading instruction with the support of dedicated volunteer tutors, helping struggling and neurodivergent readers build core skills. All of our academic support and programs are provided 100% free of charge.

Make a lasting impact in a child's life! A $50 donation to the Sweetwater Literacy Center sponsors a student through our Adopt-A-Reader Program, providing them with dedicated tutoring, books, and confidence. Join us in building a stronger, more literate community today.

We are looking community members to join our "Adopt-a-Reader" program and support a young reader in their journey to literacy!!
Your $50 donation covers, part of the cost of the text book and materials for 1 student for a full semester.

Your donation today could provide the literal tools a child needs to learn to read.

The novel’s subject, Amelia Peabody “embarks on a journey along the Nile, encounters archaeological intrigue, and unravels a phantom mummy mystery” (amazon).

Whether you are fan of this author, love mysteries, or just looking for a book club, you are welcome to join us this Saturday! Refreshments will be provided (as well as fascinating conversations with fellow book nerds)! We recently chose this work so if you haven't read it, it’s no problem!!

We are so grateful for Pinup Coffee who for great friends and neighbors in Downtown Rock Springs who invest in our community and help us keep our literacy programs, bilingual story times, and learning resources open and free for everyone in Rock Springs.

¡Acompáñanos a celebrar el Día de la Independencia de México!

Están cordialmente invitados a una edición especial de nuestra Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe en el Sweetwater Literacy Center este martes, 15 de septiembre a las 6:00 PM @ 538 Pilot Butte Ave, Suite #7. Ven con toda tu familia a disfrutar de una tarde llena de cultura, aprendizaje y diversión. Durante el evento disfrutaremos de cuentos bilingües y canciones, crearemos manualidades coloridas para los niños, veremos un breve video cultural, jugaremos divertidos juegos y compartiremos deliciosa comida tradicional mexicana. Este evento es completamente gratuito y abierto para familias y niños de todas las edades. ¡Los esperamos para celebrar juntos en comunidad!
