Shout-out to ALL teachers for World Teacher Appreciation Day!

Looking forward to meeting up with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Advisory Board. The NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center (NWSC) opened its doors in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 2012, with 4,000 users from more than 575 universities and other institutions across the nation and overseas.

We've taken Wyoming young people to the Supercomputing Center to experience parallel computing and check out the advanced computing and data storage resources for the Earth system sciences. On a few occasions, the Doppler on Wheels (DOW), a mobile weather radar station came out to our rural area to do balloon launches and talk about the study of tornadoes, hurricanes, and other weather phenomena. Good times!

ROCK SPRINGS JUNIOR HIGH (RSJH): Young people at RSJH worked on STEM+CS activities including a small lego marble run along with land/air drones this past week. It was a blast!

INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS: There are open spots in our Robotics class! We are teaming up with Rock Springs Civic Center to teach kids the basics of robotics! We had a great time with the Boys and Girls Club of Sweetwater County working on a STEM activity! The kiddos did awesome!!!
