Community Connections 21st Century Community Learning Center Programs

Community Connections 21st Century Community Learning Center Programs Be a part of our 21st Century Community Learning Center Programs this year including Community Connections, Filmmaking. Newsletter/Yearbook, and Robotics.

These exciting programs are available to all students. Students will experience personal growth, have more to add to their resumes, scholarship and college applications. The programs are designed to help connect the student with the community by participating in volunteer activities within the community, students will learn about journalism and photography, making a documentary film, and build robots. The programs run from September 22, 2014 to May 7, 2014 from 2:45 to 4:45 Monday through Thursday. We do not meet on Fridays. Activities may include performing various tasks with the elderly at Deseret Health and Rehabilitation, the Chamber of Commerce, the Recycling Center, the Humane Society and a traveling reading program. Activities also include Mindstorms, and LEGO software, GPS tracking, and graphic designs, and physics experiments, and the history of film by creating a documentary for our 21st Century Community Learning Center. The programs are not only a great confidence builder for teens, but they also benefit the community. If you are highly enthusiastic, energetic, committed to success and are looking for fun and exciting activities after school this year we have a program for you!
