Had an incredible weekend learning and growing. Nearly a year planning for the Wyoming Music teachers Association biennial conference with guests Christopher and Katherine Fisher. An amazing piano duo concert from them. A premier of a brand new work of music about Wyoming history and places by Lisa Rickard with some amazing pieces. One of our students at the studio was able to do a masterclass with Dr. Jiwon Han.

We have strong belief in the studio that students can be teachers and teachers should be students.

Tomorrow! Come see our awesome show. We've been working super hard and it's going to be a great musical tribute to the people who live and have lived in our country.

Piano Recital Weekend!

We have 3 awesome piano recitals for you this weekend. Friday at 7:00, Saturday at 11:30 and Monday at 6:30. We have 49 different students performing between the three days. Come check out one of them!

Scholarship night is tonight! Come see the hard work of these wonderful students. Excited to celebrate with them. Thanks as well to the saxophone quartet from Rock Springs High School for being guest performers.

Today is the 88th day of the year, making it world piano day.

It's been a while so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Emily Durrant and I am the founder and director at Sweetwater Music Keys.

I opened this school with a vision. Music education is so important but there are many opportunities that are only available to some and I wish any music was available to all. That's why our school was formed as a 501(c)3 non-profit.

I have a bachelor's degree in piano performance and I've been teaching piano since the family down the street decided to try out a 14 year old over 25 years ago. I love what music can do for people.

It has been harder than I ever imagined. Many weeks all my time is volunteer. But I keep going because I know what I'm trying to build here in my community is important.

Happy Spring Break to all our Rock Springs students! No lessons this week.

One of our teachers has been hard at work preparing a solo recital! Free and open to the public - we'd love anyone to join us!

A huge congratulations to these students who have worked hard on their music endeavors! We're excited to see them perform this coming April at our scholarship night.

A new round of Musikgarten classes begin this week! We have a couple of spaces available in each:

Family Music (ages 0-4) Thursdays at 10:00-10:45

Cycle of Seasons (ages 3-5) - Wednesdays at 4:30-5:15

Music Makers at Home (ages 4-6) - Wednesdays 5:30-6:30

These are not performing classes, but researched-based education that really helps develop the whole child! Come join us!
