Everyone has the power to listen, believe, and respond to a person asking for help. The Lauren McCluskey Foundation has designed this into a very simple promise; I will listen and believe you if someone is threatening you. And as simple as it is, it is often this that makes all the difference in the lives of victims and their families.

Today, February 12th, 2024, would have been the 27th birthday of Lauren McCluskey. Resulting from the failure of her not being listened to, or believed, she was murdered on October 22nd, 2018. Let us use this day to spread awareness of Lauren’s Promise and to commit ourselves to listening to, and believing those who need our help.

My name is [Insert Name here], and I have made Lauren’s Promise. Join me in donating multiples of $10.22 and directly funding the distribution of Lauren’s Promise. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of victims and their families, assuring them that their voice will be heard. Please scan the QR Code to learn more.

Please feel free to customize, share, or tag this post. Individuals or groups can make Lauren’s Promise physically or digitally at www.laurenmccluskey.org.

September is National Campus Safety Awareness Month so here is an informative article. Together we can change the culture not only on campuses but in out society.

Families should review colleges' annual security reports and ask about available campus safety services.
