Dear Westridge Families,

It is with deep sadness that we report that one of our teachers, Ms. Tia McGuire, passed away today. For her students (past and present) and for her colleagues, this is a deep loss. Ms. McGuire was loved by her students for her kindness and approachability, and she enjoyed many positive relationships within and outside of the school community. Our condolences and best wishes go out to her family and friends.

The District will have trained grief counselors available to help anyone, students or staff, who may require some assistance. Parents or caregivers seeking assistance may call the Human Resources Office at 307-352-3400 for support or assistance.

As parents and teachers, we understand that these are difficult situations for all that are touched by the loss of Ms. McGuire. Using our training and experience, we will endeavor to help all involved. We care about all of our school family and are here for you.

She was a lifelong resident of Rock Springs. She was born on March 21, 1983 in Rock Springs, Wyoming the daughter of Joseph Pak Keung Tong and Lori Lynn
