Center for tutoring all students in reading, writing and study skills at Augustana College, Rock Island, IL

Come visit us on the fourth floor of the Center for Student Life (Room 423) for instruction and advice on essay and research writing, study strategies, test taking, time management, reading assignments--on sharpening any academic skills which will further your success in college. This is a service for all Augustana students: first-years to seniors in all courses. So when you have questions about your academic work, we're here to help you find some of the answers.

This weekend, 11 of our peer tutors and 3 faculty tutors traveled to Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri for the MWCA Conference! We had a total of three student presentations and two faculty presentations, which were all successes! This conference helped us form new connections in the writing center world and gain more knowledge that we can apply to tutoring in the future 💡

Save the date for Augustana’s annual African-American Read-In! Celebrate Black History Month by signing up to read any work by an African-American author on February 16 from 10am-3pm. When signed up, students, faculty, and staff will be entered into a raffle for a free book gifted by the RWC! Keep a lookout for the release of an online signup sheet 🖊️
