Great day for the Eagles in Mason City! 2 all-conference performances for the women with Natalie 15th in now the #2 all time 5k time of 20:23 and Chelsea 22nd in now the #8 all time 5k in 21:10!! Ceci and Megan both ran awesome and they each PR'd by more a minute!!! Josh ran his 2nd fastest time ever which is now the #3 all time 8k in 27:31. He is also our FIRST EVER male all conference performer!!! Honore ran a season PR and Aime, Dillan and Ethan all ran their 2nd best times ever. 2 weeks to Nationals and I can wait to see how fast everyone will run in Kansas👟👏🏻

Our team may be small but they keep working hard and keep improving each week. Last night in Dubuque on a much harder course all 4 women ran PR's!! Natalie tied the # 3 all time 6k with a 25:30 and Chelsea improved her number 5 all time with a 26:10. Ceci took 4 seconds off the PR she ran here last year and Megan took about 40'seconds off her 6k time. The men were coming off running an 8k just 6 days ago so I expected most of them to be about a minute off their time from Saturday from fatigue and the much tougher course. Josh ran just about the same time as last year, Dillan and Aime ran their 2nd best times ever, Honore was only 11 seconds off last week and Ethan the PR machine ran 35:02 to knock another minute + off his PR from last week!!!!' Two weeks until Regionals!!

Men's team wins a 🏆. All time PR's by Natalie ( # 4 on 5k all time list) Ceci, Aime, Ethan, Dillan and Josh-ties Rane's school record for the 8k. Season PR by Honore and Megan was just off her best time. Great job today Eagles!! Even had former eagle Naomi back to run with us😊. Next up Loras on Friday then regionals and nationals.

Our Eagles had an amazing mile repeats workout today!! Everyone ran awesome and we even had company from Callie and Caitlin-even though Cait just watched. Can't wait to see them race on the 8th at Crow Creek!!

The season is off and running😊👟. Through the first 2 meets-Josh Pestka has run the number 2 & 3 times for a 5k course and just missed the school record last night. Transfer Dillan Sorrells ran the number 4 time last night and made a big improvement from our first meet last Saturday. Natalie Lawton ran the number 7 time for 5k last Saturday and ran the fastest ever 4K last night. Everyone is improving and working hard. We may have a small team but they all care and I can't wait to see what they can do on the 10th at Grinnell. I will try to take some pictures of the men next race. Go Eagles!!
