Hey TRIO scholars!
I hope everyone had an amazing summer and is feeling ready to get back into the school year soon! Here's some of the stuff I've been up to this summer.

First, I wanted to talk about an amazing opportunity that I was given to attend the SAEOPP McNair/SSS research conference in Atlanta! Though I didn't have any research to present, I had an amazing experience seeing my fellow TRIO students present theirs. On top of getting to explore a new city, I learned so much from the other student's research, as well as about ways to succeed in academic fields. This trip was so inspiring and I'm so grateful for the opportunity! Most of the pictures I have here are from this trip :)

This summer I also spent a lot of time with family and friends! I got to go on a few day trips, including seeing a concert in Chicago.

I also spent a lot of time this summer working and taking an online class. It's important to have a work-life balance, and I'm glad I got to do so much on top of my work schedule!

Hey TRIO scholars! My name is Angela and I'm going to be taking over the TRIO Instagram this week! This year I am going to be one of the TRIO peer mentors and I am so excited!

Some fun facts about me:
I am a junior Communication Sciences and Disorders major with minors in Disability Studies and Linguistics! On top of being a TRIO peer mentor this year, I am also a Viking Mentor for incoming first-years. On campus, I am also involved in ASSHA and Unabridged book club.

Outside of school and work, some of my hobbies and interests include crafting (specifically crochet), reading, gaming, and collecting vinyl/CDs. I'm always looking for new recommendations so feel free to tell me some!

I've done some fun stuff this summer that I'll be posting about later so stay tuned!

Hello Trio Scholars Da'Vonte here the summer is a good time for relaxing but many opportunities to learn. So I would like to share a littls about the internship I am doing this summer. I am interning at the nonprofit organization Anderson Humane specifically with their wildlife. I have gain first hand experience dealing with many different kind of animals I never had before such as raccons, opposums, ducks, squirrels, wild rabbits, different kinds of ducks and even a mink. This summer has been very beneficial for me to put my self in a animal field gaining the experience I need for the future. Use the summer to keep learning.

Hey TRIO Scholars! I wanted to share what I’ve been up to this summer. My biggest highlight is my vacation to Denmark and Sweden! This was a very eye-opening and amazing experience. My girlfriend and I spent time in both capitals Copenhagen and Stockholm. We ate tasty pastries, saw amazing views, and experienced a rich culture! Hi again TRIO Scholars Da'Vonte here as the return to campus is quickly approaching I would like to ask what are some things you have done this summer. So far I have gone on a trip with my friends to the Wisconsin Delld trying different rides and going to a water park. Hey TRIO scholars, my name is Connor Rockford, I’m a senior at Augustana and one of the TRIO mentors! I am majoring in Kinesiology on a pre-PT track with a Psychology and Asian Studies minor. At Augie, I am involved in the Journal Club, intramural sports, and some on campus jobs. Some of my interest are going on hikes, working out, reading, watching anime and spending time with my loved ones.
