Providence Classical School We exist to cultivate students of wisdom and virtue by educating to the highest standards of the classical, Christian tradition for the glory of God.

We Are Christian…We acknowledge God as the Creator and Sustainer of all things. We believe that He has revealed Himself through his Creation and ultimately through His Word. He is the author of all truth. We were created to know Him and bring Him glory in every aspect of life. We Are a School… We exist to partner with like-minded parents in helping students develop discipline, a lifelong love of learning, and the ability to think critically. We believe these skills will prepare them to accomplish whatever God calls them to do in life. We seek to point students to God as they explore what He has created. We believe that God is glorified as students honor Him with their minds, seeking out His truth. We Are Classical…We employ methods of teaching and learning that have stood the test of time and that also find support in modern developmental theory. It is based on a model that affirms that learning occurs in three stages:
The early years are the grammar stage, during which students learn basic facts across the disciplines. This lays the foundation for the logic stage, during which students learn the “why” behind the facts they have mastered. Finally students reach the rhetoric stage in which they learn to thoughtfully express and defend their ideas. Classical education also includes the study of Latin, the foundation of many modern languages. With additional emphases on mathematical and critical thinking skills, our school will maintain a rigorous and well-balanced approach.

Our Dads on Duty program gives fathers and father figures the opportunity to serve on campus alongside our safety team, walking the halls and grounds, and offering a friendly, steady presence throughout the day. It's one of the many ways our families can invest in the life of Providence, and our students love seeing familiar faces watching out for them.

The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes students for exceptional academic performance on the PSAT. Commended Students are among the top 3% of high school seniors nationwide, and Reagan joins just 34,000 other Commended Students across the nation who are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.

Since launching last spring, our Quiz Bowl team has been growing fast under Coaches Klaeren and Roberson, grinding it out at practice every Friday afternoon in preparation for the NAQT Quiz Bowl circuit.

This year kicked off with the Wildcat Novice Invitational in Ninety Six, SC! One of our teams took home 2nd place and also landed in the top 10 individual scorers of the whole tournament.

Newton's Second Law: tested and proven! Our Upper School physics students put F=ma to the real-world test this week — calculating the exact force needed to get a car moving at a specific acceleration. A few trials didn't quite go as planned, but persistence paid off and the data was collected!
