The Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for undergraduate child dependents of active
duty service members to study or intern abroad on in-person or virtual credit-bearing programs that start
between January and December 2021. The will review applications on a rolling

ONCA Ambassador Takeover Week: Kayla Tucker. Focus Friday! Why did you apply for the award you did? "I'm a member of the sorority that hosts the Alpha Kappa Alpha Graduate Educational Advancement Foundation Scholarship and know firsthand how the assistance of their awards have helped others. I also wanted to put this scholarship "on the map" so to speak. As a graduate student, there aren't many scholarships available that aren't discipline-specific."

ONCA Ambassador Takeover Week: Kayla Tucker. Kayla currently lives in Rock Hill, SC and is still enrolled at Winthrop. She is pursuing a Specialist degree in School Psychology! "I'm a Marylander, raised by Southern transplants. So South Carolina wasn't new to me when I came to Winthrop! I'm into all things wellness, self care, and sustainability. Some of my favorite pastimes are reading, boxing, doing pilates, and binge watching."
