Today, Ebenezer Avenue Elementary proudly recognizes the birthday of Dr. Maria Montessori and celebrates her enduring philosophy of education. Her belief in honoring each child’s independence, curiosity, natural development, and ability to lead their own learning continues to inspire our Montessori community.
Dr. Montessori also believed education was a powerful pathway to peace. We proudly wore messages of peace as a reminder that we help build a more peaceful world by teaching kindness, respect, responsibility, and understanding.
Happy Birthday, Dr. Maria Montessori! Peace begins with us. ☮️

Don't forget these two events on this week's calendar! 📅 This Thursday from 5-6:30 p.m., we're hosting our very first leadership night of the year, and we're combining it with our family book fair night! 📚 It's the perfect opportunity to celebrate our young leaders and explore some wonderful books together. Learning, Leading, and Growing Together!
A heartfelt thank-you to one of our awesome Eagle parents for providing snacks for our staff during our professional development day! Your kindness and support reflected Habit 4: Think Win-Win—when families and schools work together, our entire community benefits.
Our instructional assistants also spent time Sharpening the Saw as they:
✂️ Created fine-motor activities for our youngest learners aligned with the standards currently being taught
📚 Deepened their understanding of MTSS and how we collaboratively respond to students’ needs
Shared ideas and strengthened their ability to support high-quality learning experiences
We are grateful for a community that continues to learn, lead, grow, and empower all!
