Did someone say snow? Our Scholars had so much fun, playing in the snow today. (I think the the teachers may have enjoyed it just as much) ❄️❄️❄️ I asked the toddlers if they wanted to go outside, they couldn't get their boots on fast enough 😅 When parents ask what do we do when it's cold outside, I say we run after your children to get their coats back on them. 🤣 Today it was the little one running out of his boots to bellyflop in the snow.

We are back from the Holiday and back to work for the second half of our academic year. Our Scholars are growing and learning in leaps and bounds and their vocabulary is through the roof! From learning about musical instruments with Mr. Lorenzo, to observing creepy crawly things, celebrating birthdays, bonding with their friends, enjoying story time, and my personal favorite coming back to visit the director and their "old" preschool, have been the highlights these last couple of months. Just a small photo dump this time (less than 100 photos 😜) Check out our Scholars learning through play.

Big learning begins in our little circles! 🪵🪵🪵 At The Academy of Young Scholars, Circle Time is the heart of our day — a joyful and meaningful way for children to come together, build community, and set the tone for learning. We begin with a cheerful welcome song and a fun name-recognition activity that helps each child feel seen, valued, and excited to participate. Through poems that highlight positive character traits and the joy of outdoor play, children learn kindness, respect, and an appreciation for nature.

Circle Time also lays the foundation for early academics in a playful way. We practice letter recognition, counting, learn a little Spanish, and introduce the day’s learning theme through hands-on, nature-inspired experiences. By gathering in a circle under the open sky, children develop listening skills, social confidence, and a sense of belonging — all while connecting with the natural world around them.
Our intentional teachers are the best.
We have a few slots left for enrollment. Come by for a tour and let your child experience our year around outdoor learning environment! 🥰 🦅

We are loving this summer-like Fall weather at The Academy of Young Scholars! From the babies to our newly minted 5 year old and all Scholars in between...our academic year is in full swing! New skill-sets loading... 🦅 # 📚🤸🏽🤸‍♀️🤸🏿‍♂️ 🧑🏽‍🏫

It's been a while since we posted but it wasn't because our Scholars haven't been having fun, learning through play!!! Nor was it because we haven't taken thousands of pictures. It was simply because our director was on a sabbatical! But she's back now!!! Just a few photos to get us back on track! More to come!
