Join us for an insightful presentation by Professor Donald West, a member of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) on:

Professor West will discuss:

The history of ASALH, founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson in 1915.

Dr. Woodson's initiative to recognize Black achievements, which began as Negro History Week in February 1926 and evolved into Black History Month.

ASALH's role in promoting African American history and how to get involved locally.

Clinton College Digital Library and Learning Commons is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kwasi Amponsa as our new Library Specialist, effective November 2024.

Mr. Amponsa brings a wealth of experience in management, leadership, and program development. His diverse professional background includes roles as Program Manager, Registered Behavior Technician, Site Director, and Department Sales Manager, where he honed his expertise in decision-making, customer service, and staff development.

Kwasi's unique life journey reflects resilience and a commitment to positive change. He is dedicated to ethical standards, community impact, and transformational leadership. Outside of work, Kwasi is a proud husband and father of three children, a former National level Bodybuilding competitor, an avid chess player, a youth mentor, and a voracious reader of African culture and history.

We are excited to welcome Kwasi to our team and look forward to his contributions to the Digital Library and Learning Commons.

Join and for a Halloween Library Lock-In today, Tuesday, October 29, from 9 PM to Wednesday, October 30, at 1 AM.

Get creative with activities like 3D printing a keychain, painting pumpkins, or bringing your own shirt to design. Afterward, relax and enjoy a classic Halloween film with light snacks and popcorn. There will be games available too.

Don't forget to wear your spooky pajamas! Come celebrate the Halloween spirit with friends and fun!
