We hope you join us next Monday for our first parent education night of the school year! This session is called "Parent Advocacy and Kitchen Table Convos." We will have honest discussions about how you can be more involved as a parent and provide strategies to help you continue advocating for your child as they start the school year. This will be a true learning session. Childcare will be provided between 5:30 and 6:30 to allow adults to have honest and open conversations with one another and our panelists. Our panelists will include our Family Outreach Associate, district academic interventionist, RHS Director of Elementary Exceptional Student Education, RHS Director of Behavioral Services, and RHS Assistant Director of ParentSMART.

A huge thank you to Coach Wofford, Rory, Major and Northwestern’s Game Day Give Back Program for spending time with our fifth graders this morning to teach them about the importance of the “WIN TODAY” motto! Winning isn’t always about the final score on Friday night. It’s about recognizing the small wins along the way, celebrating progress, and continuing to get better each day. Celebrating and replicating those small victories add up to something BIG! We also want to give a special congratulations to Lionel, Lesslie’s Game Day Give Back nominee, who will be recognized during tomorrow’s game versus Hough at 4:00. We are grateful for the encouragement and the reminder to our Hornets that every day is another opportunity to WIN TODAY!

As part of Northwestern's "Game Day Give Back" program, Coach Page Wofford will surprise one fifth grader on Friday morning during an assembly. This student embodies what it means to "win today" inside and outside the classroom. They are a role model for how tiny actions and habits add up over time and make a positive difference. Our "Game Day Give Back" recipient will also be recognized on the field at D3 before Friday night's game versus Hough.

All Lesslie fifth graders will receive a ticket to Friday night’s varsity football game. Parents are encouraged to purchase a ticket now through Go Fan. Tickets are $10 and are expected to sell out for the season opener.

We’re excited to host monthly family nights this year as part of our "Legacy Builders" series. These evenings are designed to serve the Lesslie community by creating opportunities for families to learn, connect, spend time together, and simply enjoy being part of the Lesslie family. Some nights will focus on parent education, while others will be all about family fun! We’re sharing the dates early so you can mark your calendars now! More information about each evening will be shared as the dates approach. We’re looking forward to building connections, creating memories, and continuing to build our Lesslie Legacy together!
