Shoutout to Janet Baxter at Intrepid Healthcare Training! Co-owner Megan Brinton has been taking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class from Janet for several weeks and has learned so much!

Janet was born in Washington, DC, and moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, when she was 14. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1985, and earned her diploma in practical nursing in 1999 and a nursing degree in 2004 from Bishop State University in Mobile, Alabama.

She worked as a Registered Nurse in the post anesthesia care unit at West Jefferson Hospital in New Orleans until August 2006, when she moved to Virginia Beach and continued working at Norfolk General Hospital until 2015.

Janet has been teaching nursing assistant students since 2016. She moved to Rock Hill in 2018 to be closer to her daughter, and established Intrepid Healthcare Training.

Janet serves on several youth ministry and community outreach board, including the board of "Big Dreams, Inc.," with whom she has traveled to Africa on mission trips.

Based on Janet's outstanding work throughout her community in kingdom building and community development, she was recently awarded an Honorary Doctoral Degree in Theology.

Congratulations, Janet Baxter! Thank you for all you do for the medical field, nursing education, and seeking to improve the lives of everyone in our community!
