Kent County Middle School 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Galena Elementary School - Galena, Maryland 2 to 3 p.m.
HH Garnet Elementary School 2 to 3 p.m.
Rock Hall Elementary School 2 to 3 p.m.

The KCPS HR Department, including our new director Dr. Yolanda Holloway, closed out the New Teacher Induction Week by presenting about core values, employee benefits and how using mentors and the evaluation system can improve professional practice and career success. We can't wait to see this group of amazing new teachers in the classroom!

Our first-year teachers came in for training this week! To celebrate their first day of induction, they went out for ice cream at Get the Scoop in Rock Hall.

Our bus drivers are getting ready for ! We held an inservice day at Kent County High School for our drivers last week to provide them with additional training. Thank you Aspire Life Center, the Maryland Association of Boards of Education, the Kent County Health Department, Choptank Electric Cooperative and the Motor Vehicle Administration for leading training sessions throughout the day!

We're looking for businesses, organizations and community members to adopt classrooms for the upcoming academic year. The 2026-27 KCMS Adopt-A-Classroom initiative is an opportunity to invest in students and build a community. Each classroom partnership begins with a $200 investment, providing teachers with flexible funding for school supplies, instructional materials and resources that help students succeed from the very first day of school.
