Registration for BalletCorps’ 2026–27 season is now open—and this December, Daniel Blake will once again bring The Nutcracker to the stage through BalletCorps.

Over the summer, BalletCorps has grown enormously. Our expanded website now includes complete schedules and tuition, level guidance, the school calendar, Junior and Senior Company, AdultCorps, updated policies, and online registration and payment.

This season begins a three-year process of building The Nutcracker alongside the growth of our Companies:

Year One — Choreography, staging, and structure
Establish the choreography, casting structure, and overall shape of the ballet. This year’s scale will reflect Company enrollment while creating a performance that stands on its own.

Year Two — Costumes and production elements
Expand the visual world through costumes and limited scenic elements.

Year Three — Full theatrical production
Work toward full sets and a move into a traditional theater.

The pace may accelerate as enrollment and resources grow.

For dancers who have worked with Daniel in past Nutcracker productions, there may be much that feels familiar. For newer dancers, this is an opportunity to enter the tradition at the beginning of a new chapter.

Dancers participate through Junior and Senior Company. Company members enroll in Friday Company Day and at least one additional weekly technique class. Rehearsals are built into the weekly schedule, with no routine Saturday rehearsals and no additional performance-participation fees.

AdultCorps has expanded as well, with classes for complete beginners, returning dancers, and experienced adults.

Open houses, placement opportunities, and additional performance details will be announced soon.

Explore the new season and register at BalletCorps.com.

Recap of Kimberly's classes during week two! She really got to work on getting more rotation out of the dancers, along with a lot of detail work with preparations, hands, fingers and epaulment!
Not to mention the 8-count developes!

The dancers will have more opportunities to work with Kimberly during this week.
We are so fortunate to have her expertise available to our students!

Working with Rylie after class may include, but is not limited to, double cabrioles, double assembles, double tours and 540s.

Oh and double saut de basques into all of the above.

BalletCorps Summer intensive week two faculty announcement: Logan Pachciarz

Logan joins our Summer Intensive faculty with an extraordinary professional background that includes Twyla Tharp's dance ensemble Tharp!, Boston Ballet, and fifteen seasons with the Kansas City Ballet. His extensive experience - stealing my 😅, I mean, performing leading roles across a diverse classical and contemporary repertoire brings a wealth of knowledge and artistic insight to our dancers.

Beyond his impressive credentials, Logan is a passionate artist, educator and advocate for dancers. We are beyond thrilled to be able to bring him to BalletCorps for our first summer intensive!

BalletCorps is honored to welcome Kimberly Uphoff Spencer as a guest faculty member! We are thrilled to have her join the second and third week of this season's summer intensive!

One of my goals in building BalletCorps has been to create opportunities for Rochester dancers to work with artists that are deeply committed to this art and generous in sharing it.

Kimberly is without a doubt such an artist, and what an artist she is!

With extensive training at the Kirov Academy and a professional career with the Boston Ballet, Kimberly brings a depth of knowledge, experience, and a love of Swan Lake to BalletCorps. Her understanding of the Vaganova technique is an invaluable addition to our curriculum and a wonderful resource for our students.

Please join me in welcoming Kimberly to BalletCorps!
(🦢🌊❤️😂)

Her full bio will be appearing on our website soon!
