As you may have noticed, we've been pretty quiet on Facebook this past year. We'll be finally phasing out of our page at the end of this month, so if you want to hear more updates about new editions, updated backlist editions, staff successes, sightings of METS in the wild, and so much more, please consider subscribing to our quarterly newsletter or following us on LinkedIn!

📖✨ Help Secure the Future of METS ✨📖

Since 1989, we have expanded the boundaries of our understanding of medieval literary traditions and cultures through our ever-growing collection of open access and affordable texts. Our new website and digital reader, launched in November 2024, have built upon Professor Russell Peck's initial vision for METS, enhancing our long-standing goals to support groundbreaking scholarship, ensure access, and enable teaching and learning. Over the past year, we have continued to publish new editions, supporting scholarship and expanding access. We've also updated previously published volumes, ensuring their ongoing accessibility. We have a long list of upcoming editions, including the next volume of our Machaut series, a retelling of Homer's The Iliad in John Clerk's The Destruction of Troy, a selection of plays created and performed by medieval nuns, and an advice manual for kings written during the Wars of the Roses.

Our work is only possible with your support. The METS community came together in the wake of our loss of NEH funding in spring 2025, and we're asking for that support again as we continue to build a sustainable future. The past year has seen record numbers of users from around the world; the need for our work is growing, and your help will ensure that we continue to meet that need and fulfill our mission to provide fully open access to medieval texts to everyone, no matter who or where they are. While we know that budgets are tight, if every person who uses our site donated just $10, we would be well on our way to being fully self-supported.

Please donate today: every dollar you give directly supports our staff and will help us ensure that these texts remain accessible to readers around the world. We are deeply grateful to the many of you who have already shown your support through your generous donations.
