Vertus High School

Vertus High School Vertus High School is an innovative charter school for young men in Rochester, NY. Students learn in teams of 16 to 20.

We provide unprecedented individual support and consistent high expectations for academic success and character growth. Founded by veteran educators Leigh McGuigan and Perry White, Vertus aims to reinvent high school for the young men who need it most. Upon graduating, each of our young men will choose the path that is right for him: university, community college or a good job. Each team has a full time adult leader called a Preceptor who is 100% responsible for the success of his team. We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, and Warrior community for coming together to collect food for families in need. This is what it looks like when we turn compassion into action and show our young men the power of serving others.

The food has been dropped off, but the impact goes far beyond the donation.

Change happens when a community comes together.

We’re inviting our families, staff, students, partners, and neighbors to join us in the Huddle for Hunger by donating non-perishable food items to support families in need.

Every can. Every box. Every donation matters.
