Today we celebrate the people who spend their days elbow-deep in safety wire, hydraulic fluid, and the consequences of “it was working yesterday.”

Aviation Maintenance Day is for the mechanics who catch the problems nobody else sees, keep pilots humble, and somehow translate vague write-ups like “makes a weird noise sometimes” into actual repairs. Every safe landing starts long before the engine turns over, usually with a tired mechanic holding a flashlight in their mouth wondering who last touched this airplane.

To every aviation maintenance professional out there: thank you for keeping the skies safe, one torque wrench at a time.

We are excited to announce we are offering a Private Pilot ground school starting January 10. It will run until April 25 on Saturday mornings from 9 am until noon. Successful completion will include an endorsement to take the knowledge portion of the FAA test requirement to obtain a Private Pilot Certificate. Contact RAC or Gary Pudup about signing up.
