HU Ministers' Conference

Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School is pleased to celebrate Rev. Dr. J.J. Warren, Assistant Professor of (Q***r) Theology and Program Lead for Gender, Sexuality and Racial Justice, on receiving a grant from the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion.

The grant will support Dr. Warren’s project, “Virtual Teaching in Incarnational Ways: Piloting a Virtual Campus for Hybrid Theological Education at Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School.” This innovative initiative explores how virtual learning environments can move beyond traditional video conferencing to foster genuine community, embodied theological reflection, and meaningful spiritual formation among geographically dispersed students.

As we continue celebrating the Class of 2026, we are especially proud to recognize graduates who went beyond their degree and certificate programs to pursue specialized concentrations.

This year, graduates completed concentrations through two unique programs:

✨ Black Religious Thought & Life (BRTL)
✨ Gender, Sexuality, and Racial Justice (GSRJ)

At Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, these programs are opportunities to engage pressing issues facing our communities and world.

The Black Religious Thought & Life Program invites students to explore the richness, complexity, and transformative power of Black faith traditions while preparing leaders for ministry, advocacy, education, chaplaincy, and community engagement.

The Gender, Sexuality, and Racial Justice Program equips students and community leaders to recognize, confront, and transform systems of oppression and violence through intersectional theological and multireligious education.

Whether pursued as a standalone certificate or alongside a degree, these programs help form leaders grounded in peace, service, and justice.
