Remember that breast cancer screening is a proactive step in maintaining breast health and detecting cancer at an early stage. Regular communication with your healthcare provider is key to making informed decisions about when and how to undergo screening based on your unique circumstances.

10/02/2023

Breast cancer screening refers to the process of using specific tests and procedures to detect breast cancer in individuals who do not currently have symptoms. The goal of screening is to identify breast cancer at an early and more treatable stage when interventions are most effective.

Breast cancer is a type of cancer that originates in the cells of the breast tissue.

It occurs when abnormal cells in the breast start to grow and divide uncontrollably, forming a tumor.

Over time, these cancerous cells can invade nearby tissues and may even spread to other parts of the body through the bloodstream or lymphatic system.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, although it can also occur in men, albeit less frequently.

Did you know childhood trauma can have long-term effects on mental and physical health?

Studies have shown that individuals who have experienced childhood trauma are at a higher risk for developing mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD, as well as physical health conditions such as heart disease and autoimmune disorders. It's important to address childhood trauma and provide support for those who have experienced it in order to mitigate these long-term effects.

Do not underestimate the power of identifying what your goals are.

Instead of broad goals such as the desire to be successful, ask yourself.....

1. How specific can you make your goals?
2. What actionable steps can I take?
3. How will I track my progress?
