We are heartbroken over the ruling in the supreme court regarding the ban on conversion therapy. Now more than ever these conversations need to continue to educate to people that being LGBTQ+ is not something that needs to be fixed, is not something that is a disease, and is not lesser than. By allowing conversion therapy as free speech we are doing an incredible disservice to youth and putting them in dangerous situations that have and will lead to higher rates of su***de that’s already disproportionately impacting this already marginalized community. Just as much as you can not make someone gay, you also can’t turn them to be not gay. Thats not how it works. To all the survivors of conversion therapy, we see you, and you did not deserve any of the horrid treatment or trauma that may have come out of this unsafe practice.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility from the SafeZone Initiative 🏳️‍⚧️

Today is about celebrating trans joy, resilience, and the lived experiences of trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming individuals, but it’s also a reminder that visibility alone isn’t enough.

At The SafeZone Initiative, our mission goes deeper. We’re here to challenge misconceptions, create space for the hard conversations, and lean into the discomfort that often comes with real growth. True inclusion doesn’t happen by staying silent, it happens by listening, learning, and being willing to unlearn what we thought we knew.

We know these conversations aren’t always easy. But they are necessary if we want to build a more understanding, compassionate, and genuinely inclusive community.

We stand with you today and every day, and we’re committed to doing the work, having the conversations, and helping others do the same. 🏳️‍⚧️

- About our SafeZone Train-the-Trainer Course -
Our SafeZone Train-the-Trainer Certification course has been meticulously developed to forge confident, knowledgeable and dynamic SafeZone trainers who can uphold sustainable SafeZone Programs at their schools, on their college campuses, in their workplaces and in their everyday lives. This workshop can be run as a single-day 8 hour session or two half day sessions. During this training, participants will run through our SafeZone program and peek behind the curtain to get all the behind-the-scenes tips on how to run the exercises. Find out how to present the activities, what to expect from your audience, how to work with participants of varying comfort levels and how to graciously recover from inevitable hiccups. As with all of our trainings, participants of our SafeZone Train-the-Trainer workshop will have the opportunity to ask any and all questions to our team to help learn from our own mistakes and feel fully prepared to run their own LGBTQ+ inclusion trainings.



Each participant will receive a comprehensive 50+ page SafeZone Train-the-Trainer manual that takes intersectionality to heart. This manual includes…

.as well as all of our favorite tips and tricks to empower your own SafeZone trainees.

Participants will further receive an official SafeZone Initiative sticker and lapel pin, digital certificate, and 3 years of ongoing support for assistance in preparing for trainings and access to materials as we continue to update.

Please Note: SafeZone Train-the-Trainer participants must be fully on board with LGBTQ+ equality and should have a basic knowledge of LGBTQ+ terminology, barriers, and experiences. This is NOT a SafeZone training and is not a 101 level training. It is suggested that if you are not familiar with LGBTQ+ identities to take another one of our trainings prior. The goal is for participants to leave the training fully confident to train others within their workplace on LGBTQ+ inclusion topics. By taking our SafeZone train the trainer, you are agreeing to not run your own SafeZone Train-the-Trainer program.

We’re thrilled to announce that our highly requested SafeZone Training is back in person for the first time since 2019! This year, we’ll be gathering at the welcoming and beautiful Legacy at Clover Blossom on Sunday, October 6th, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
