Pauline Josephs-McCleary is an entrepreneur who has founded several successful businesses, including Minority Reporter Media Group, Word, Inc., Moving Forward Training Source, Inc., Perspectives TV, and others.

She is also the founder of Legacy Makers Wealth Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals, youth, and families through financial education and personal development.

With more than 20 years of experience serving businesses, churches, and communities, Pauline has worked in the areas of:

She also serves on numerous government and community committees and boards and is a passionate community advocate.

Pauline holds a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and additional degrees in Accounting, Business, and Community & Human Services. As President & CEO of Moving Forward Training Source (MFTS), Pauline and her team provide workshops that empower individuals while building stronger families and healthier communities.

Join us for Believe I'll Testify on 7/9/26 at 6:30pm EST. Dr. Leslie B. Smith is a guest speaker. Dr Leslie Smith is a seasoned executive leader, educator, and community advocate with more than three decades of experience in public administration, workforce development, conflict resolution, youth services, and organizational leadership. Her distinguished career reflects a commitment to improving communities through strategic planning, operational excellence, and collaborative partnerships. Currently serving as Executive Director of the Traffic Violations Agency for the City of
Rochester, Dr. Smith oversees all agency operations, including fiscal management, policy development, revenue reconciliation, personnel administration, and stakeholder engagement. Prior to her current role, Dr. Smith served as Director of the Bureau of Employment, Skills Training & Adult/Youth Services for the City of Rochester, where she managed a multi-million-
dollar workforce development division. She developed strategic employment initiatives, strengthened employer partnerships, expanded job-readiness programs, and enhanced community
outreach efforts. Dr. Smith also served as Director of Monroe County Mediation & Youth Programs at the Center
for Dispute Settlement, where she managed countywide mediation services, supervised staff and volunteers, directed grant-funded programs, and developed mediation-training initiatives. Earlier leadership positions include Program Director for New Life Ministries and Executive Director of North Star Common Community Development Corporation, where she guided organizational growth, policy development, and fiscal oversight.
Before transitioning into nonprofit and public-sector leadership, Dr. Smith spent 15 years with Xerox Corporation, serving in a variety of roles including Software Engineer, Technical Specialist, Solutions Manager, and Launch Manager. A lifelong learner, Dr. Smith holds an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher
College, a Certificate in Management Studies from Simmons College, a Master of Science in Education from Nazareth College, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from SUNY Brockport. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Smith has demonstrated a deep commitment to community service. She has served as Board President of the YMCA at Lewis Street Center, a
member of the William Warfield Scholarship Foundation, a former Advisory Council Member for The Harley School, a former Board Director for Rochester Child first Network, and a former
member of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. Throughout her career, Dr. Smith has been recognized for her ability to lead transformational
change, build strong partnerships, develop high-performing teams, and create innovative solutions that strengthen organizations and communities alike. She currently resides in the City of Rochester, a member of New Life Fellowship, she loves teaching, traveling, and socializing with family and friends. You are invited to Believe I'll Testify, Thursday, 2/26/26 6:30pm-7:45pm EST, a forum designed to dispel myths and negative connotations associated with mental health treatment. Join us as we demonstrate the thoughtful art of "Testimony." We believe everyone has a story to tell. Each session consists of an anointed guest speaker, who shares their struggles and triumphs with stress and anxiety. A short lesson is taught and time is set aside for everyone to share. We are delighted to have Dr Sherry Davis Molock as our guest speaker.
Dr. Sherry Davis Molock is a Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Molock teaches undergraduate and doctoral courses in clinical psychology and researches the prevention of su***de and HIV in African American youth. Thirty years ago, she first discovered her calling was to help prevent su***de among Black people, as rates of su***de continued to rise among Black adolescents. Since then, she has been adamant that Black churches could lead the way on teen mental health and su***de prevention and has worked diligently to implement su***de prevention programs for Black youth in predominately Black churches.
In addition to her work in psychology, Dr. Molock is a founding pastor and Pastor Emeriti of the Beloved Community Church – United Church in Christ in Fort Washington, Maryland. Their ministry focuses on “family healing” which is designed to bring spiritual, physical, and emotional healing to the community. She joins program host Dr. Chris Meek on Next Steps Forward to discuss a reluctance in the Black community to acknowledge mental health problems, how her work continues to challenge misconceptions about Black people and su***de, how faith leaders can recognize mental health issues within their congregations and ensure their parishioners are comfortable speaking about them, and both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for her HAVEN Connect Workshops.

We are delighted to have Monika Lyn Patterson as our guest speaker.

Monika Lyn Patterson, born in Rochester, New York to the parents of Marvin and Loretta Patterson. She has strong ties to the Rochester community graduating from Nazareth Academy in 1988 and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a minor in History from the University of Rochester. Monika completed a Master of Education Degree in Secondary Education with a specialization in English/English Language Arts (ELA) from Roberts Wesleyan College - School of Education and an Education Administration Certificate from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts-Leadership Academy. Monika taught English/ELA at Monroe Middle School and Dr. Freddie Thomas High School before enlisting in the Army in October 2009 as a Religious Affairs Specialist (Chaplain Corps), attending Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She is currently assigned to the 200th Military Police Command, Fort Meade, Maryland. As the daughter of an Elder, she grew up attending Community Bible Church on Andrews Street downtown and later a member of New Life Fellowship on Wellington Avenue. She will share her testimony on how life was like during that formative to adulthood years. Monika enjoys traveling, spending time with family, working out and reading. She has one adult son, Emmanuel.

Alicia Montalvo is a passionate kingdom creative dedicated to using every facet of her artistic gifts to illuminate hope and reveal God's character. Her work centers on helping others rediscover their God-given identity-the truth of who they are and Whose they are.
She is the founder of Royall Origin, a creative house that dedicates kingdom creativity to the Father. Royall Origin exists to unleash creativity that reveals truth, awakens identity and purpose, and invites people into life-changing encounters with God.
Among her signature projects is Martus Mosaic, a film series that captures real-life testimonies through diverse creative expressions-spoken word, visual parables, reenactments, and other forms of storytelling. Each episode offers a cinematic mosaic of redemption, reminding viewers that every story, when surrendered to God, reflects His artistry and grace.
