Thanks to ClinicNote for sharing Nazareth’s success as a case study, pointing out how Naz pro bono clinics on campus are further advancing care and student learning with electronic medical records.
Grad students in physical, occupational, speech, music, and art therapies treat patients at about 15,000 on-campus clinic visits annually. Now they also document care in an electronic medical records system that supports supervisor feedback, revision, and better interdisciplinary collaboration.
This allows students from different disciplines, such as OT and PT, to read notes on a shared client. Students can then use those prior notes to preemptively inform their approach for an upcoming session with that shared client.
Students are building clinical writing skills while also using the tool to manage scheduling, referrals, consent forms, and compliance. The case study quotes Professor Season Bonino on how it was launched and the difference it’s making, including: “When the students go out, and they're working with EMRs in the community, they've had two full years of doing this with us."

What do Nazareth’s physician assistant graduate students living across nine states have in common? A commitment to patient care — and appreciation of a program format that makes their goals possible.
Nazareth’s new hybrid physician assistant program brings students together on campus just one week each semester, with the remainder of coursework completed remotely. For parents like Samantha Christman in rural New York and Fatimah Al-Khafaji in Michigan, flexibility was the key. The hybrid format also helps Konrad Juskiewicz have time for life outside grad school.
Despite the distance, students say they’ve built a strong sense of community and support from faculty and classmates alike.

Kiara Anglin '26 studied nursing. We asked her about her time at Naz and her life's work. 🏀🩺
1. What's your most memorable moment?
"Playing my last basketball game. It made me reflect on everything — early mornings, tough losses, big wins, and the people who supported me along the way. It was bittersweet, but it reminded me how much Naz has shaped me, not just as a student or athlete, but as a person stepping into the next chapter of my life."
2. What are you most looking forward to?
"I'm most looking forward to being there for patients in critical moments and making a real impact when it matters most. As a student-athlete, I've learned how to stay calm under pressure, work as part of a team, and push through challenges — skills that I'll carry with me into the emergency department."
3. What's next?
"I will start my nursing career in the Emergency Department at Strong Memorial Hospital, where I have already accepted a position."

Noelle Lazor '26G went from professional dancer to a doctor of physical therapy! We chatted with her about her time at Naz and what's next!
1. What prompted the career change?
"I have a bachelor of fine arts degree in dance and danced professionally for years in New York City. I love performing, and I still perform, but there was a moment onstage one New Year's Eve when I realized that a performance career required missing holidays and big events with family and friends."
2. What lessons will you take with you from your Nazareth years?
“...With everything I’ve gone through, I now realize ‘your best’ is different day to day…”
3. What's next?
"I will be starting work at Evolve Physical Therapy of Rochester on June 1 and working towards my Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification!"
